I’ve always been drawn to helping in some capacity. Whether it be as a competitive swimming coach in my 20s or working in child care accreditation in my early 30s, helping has been a pivotal piece of who I am. I was fortunate enough to cross paths with a professor in my undergraduate degree who sparked my interest in becoming a therapist.
I grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and moved to Colorado in 2019. I received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta and my Masters of Arts from Gonazaga University in Spokane, Washington. I spent the better part of a decade working in the domestic violence field and my interest in relationship dynamics continued to grow. Upon moving to Colorado I have enjoyed working with individuals and couples who are looking to increase fulfillment and happiness. I have a particular interest in working with folks dealing with anxiety and the variety of ways it shows up in our personal and professional lives. Those that have worked with me either as a colleague or client know that I have a lighthearted sense of humor that I bring to work with me as much as possible.
When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time in the outdoors running or swimming. Music is a staple in my life and I am often listening to music when I’m not with clients. I am an avid hockey fan and can be found regularly watching Oilers and Avalanche games. In addition to hockey I love to watch football, baseball, and golf.
My Perspective
I believe that we are built to be in relationships with others in many capacities and we develop strategies to assist us in coping with adversity. I believe the therapeutic relationship creates a space to safely explore understanding meaning, increase our understanding in ourselves, and live a life that aligns with our values.
